Resilient Cities Program Manager, ICLEI World Secretariat
Based in Bonn, Germany, Laura coordinates ICLEI’s global events and programs under the Resilient City Agenda. ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability is the leading global network of over 1,500 cities, towns and regions committed to building a sustainable future. Through its ten agendas and seventeen offices worldwide, ICLEI supports local governments to become sustainable, low-carbon, ecomobile, resilient, biodiverse, resource-efficient, healthy and happy, with a green economy and smart infrastructure,
ICLEI provides a range of resources to local practitioners through country, regional, and global programs. Laura has managed the Resilient Cities program at the ICLEI World Secretariat since 2014, including support for global advocacy and multi-level collaboration, projects on reporting and financing resilience, and the organization of the Resilient Cities congress series. Laura has a background in urban geography and sustainable development. She received her M.Sc. from Trinity College, Dublin and has completed independent research on urban development and vulnerability in India and with Concern Worldwide in Sierra Leone. Her experience also includes work as a program director for an NGO engaging youth on American security policy. She is originally from upstate New York, USA and lives in Bonn, Germany.
