Session 4: Adaptation planning for focussing action and increasing adaptation finance

This session will deepen understanding of the opportunities to strengthen action and increase finance through adaptation planning. A panel of country representatives, entrepreneurs, climate Funds, and supporting institutions will share their experience and perspectives on the opportunity of adaptation planning processes to catalyze action and finance. The Paris Agreement has highlighted the importance of adaptation planning. The GCF is providing up to USD 3 million/country in grant funding to help countries formulate NAPs and other adaptation planning processes. This represents an opportunity for countries and the adaptation community to focus adaptation action for maximum impact, as well as catalyse the scale of adaptation resources so urgently needed from a range of sources.

Session led by the Green Climate Fund.
