Session 5: Adaptation planning and financing, at different scales (regional, subnational and community level)

Adaptation planning and financing are essential components in sustaining and scaling-up action and transformational changes at different levels.  Through adaptation planning, options are identified to help address current and reduce future risks faced by governments and communities.  However, like any other plan or strategy, implementation requires corresponding financial resources that are sufficient, timely, accessible and sustained.

In this 90-minute session, we will discuss what works, what doesn’t, and what we do not know yet regarding adaptation planning and financing at subnational, national and regional levels, focused on addressing the needs of vulnerable countries and communities.

Session led by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
